$40 for tech support? For a program that I am forced to use in order to access the internet properly? Ridiculous. I also feel angry about this because I feel like I'm being bullied. Yet in order to get help over the phone to try and resolve this issue, I'm supposed to pay Adobe $40?!?! This is an outrage! I realize use of the internet is not the most important thing in life, but it is a large part of life in this culture and time period regardless, and I am very inconvenienced. If FlashPlayer doesn't work, there's almost no point to using the internet at all.

I did not choose for Adobe to have such a monopoly on internet video and imaging.

When the limit of skills at my level of computer savvy is reached, there is something ridiculoulsy wrong on the software provider's end, and I am beyond annoyed.

My brother's laptop installed the update just fine, and he can use video on the internet. I have never had such a problem with this software on other computers and laptops I've owned and used. The CSR and I quickly exhausted any further trouble shooting avenues she could think of. I even tried calling the Asus tech support to see if there was something on their end. I've tried multiple combinations of all of the above. I tried going through the plug-in update utility that Firefox offers. I've tried disablling my internet security settings and turning off my anti-virus.

I've tried downloading Adobe's uninstall software, downloading Flash again, then rebooting. I've tried doing this and then rebooting my computer. I've uninstalled the current FlashPlayer software from my computer and tried reinstalling. So I went back to the Adobe site and started trouble shooting. I clicked the link, it took me to the Adobe website to update FlashPlayer, I downloaded it per instructions which are not new to me. Then one day, I went to YouTube, and it said I needed to update my software. My computer work perfectly, exactly as a new one should. I am running a new Asus laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit, Intel i5 processor, and I use both IE and Firefox. For the last several days, I have been pulling my hair with ever increasing frustration as to why this stupid FlashPlayer update won't work.
